Contest Details

WHEN:

The 9th annual SkimBash contest takes place:

  • Saturday and Sunday, June 23rd & 24th, 2012
  • Saturday and Sunday, September 8th & 9th, 2012

The contest runs for two days, with preliminary heats on Saturday; and semi-finals/ finals on Sunday.

Sign-in begins Saturday at 8:00 a.m., contest will end around 5 p.m. both days. Riders must be prepared to spend the entire day at the beach.

NOTE:

  • For the September contest, beach admission is free.

WHERE:

Sea Bright, New Jersey, at the Sea Bright Municipal Beach (behind Borough Hall). Parking is at the Municipal Beach parking lot in the center of town.

COST TO COMPETE:

  • Amateur entry fee: $35 (plus $15 Skim USA membership fee if you are not a 2012 member). Includes goody bag, event t-shirt, breakfast & lunch, giveaways. Prizes awarded to first, second, and third-place finishers in all divisions.
  • Semi-Pro entry fee: $50 (plus $15 Skim USA membership fee if you are not a 2012 member). Includes goody bag, event t-shirt, breakfast & lunch, giveaways. Cash prizes awarded.
  • Pro entry fee: $100 (plus $15 Skim USA membership fee if you are not a 2012 member). Includes goody bag, event t-shirt, breakfast & lunch, giveaways. Pros skim for a cash purse.

A NOTE ABOUT REGISTRATION FEES: Why a Skim USA Membership Fee?

DEADLINE TO REGISTER:

  • For the June contest, we must receive your registration form and entry fee by June 22.
  • For the September contest, we must receive your registration form and entry fee by Sept. 7

Late entries are subject to a $10 additional fee.  THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO BEACH ENTRIES! This is a Skim USA rule!
